Actress Deepika Padukone has welcomed the fact that she has received an award in the jewellery category for the first time.

"I am very happy with this honour because this is the first time that I'm getting such an award. Normally, when I was a model, we used to get for shows and for movies. This is the first time that I have got an award in jewellery category," said Padukone.

The award was given over the weekend by Sheikh Sarik.
