Deepika Padukone met the lover boy of the 60's, Mr. Shammi Kapoor at his residence recently over a cup of coffee. She spent some quality time with him and even had dinner. Shammi ji is the brother of late Mr. Raj Kapoor and uncle of Ranbir Kapoor.
Shammi ji, who was the top romantic hero of the 60s and 70s, had been praising Deepika for a long time on a micro-blogging site and had also expressed his desire to meet her. Deepika had responded by promptly meeting him. Shammi Kapoor and Deepika reportedly had a long conversation. Shammi ji loved her performance in "Om Shanti Om" and "Love Aaj Kal". Deepika was flattered when he told her that she is one of the finest actresses and that he is her ardent fan. Deepika is said to have told Shammi ji that his compliments mean the world to her and she considers it as one of the best days in her life.
